Generosity is a fundamental expression of worship of the Lord and a demonstration of a heart for Christ's kingdom. We know that God loves a cheerful giver. When you give to the Unified Budget, your giving directly supports all of the ministries of Dix Hills Evangelical Free Church, including our missions’ partners that we have joined together with to reach the world for Christ.
The only Ministry not supported by the Unified Budget is the Deacon’s Benevolence Fund. That is why there is a separate line on the Giving Envelopes for a Special Offering. The addition of this line makes it possible for you to designate a separate portion of your overall giving (above and beyond your designated weekly offering) to the Deacon’s Benevolence Fund which is used to care for people in financial need.
The Following Giving Options Are Available to You:
Weekly Offering: An offering is taken during each Worship Service. There are envelopes available in the back of the MPR if you wish to designate your offering to the Deacon Fund or for a special fund (Youth Group, a Memorial gift, etc.)
Online or Electronic Giving: We encourage you to utilize electronic funds transfer known as ACH (Automated Clearing House) Transfers. It is actually better for the church, as the processing fees are lowest on ACH transfers and the fee does not reduce the size of your gift. This option is preferred as it allows more of your dollars to go to Kingdom work and it greatly simplifies recordkeeping for the church.
Please be aware that the processing fees for Debit Cards are higher than ACH Transfers and Credit Card fees are much higher. Also, the fees on Rewards Credit Cards are the highest because DHEFC is charged for the reward points that you receive.
